Photography. Youth. Sport. When a Phoenix kid fused all three into one vision in 2012, Phireworx was born.
Founder
Growing up in Phoenix, Rashad Griffin was three things at once: a creator, a youth worker, and a lifelong sports fan. By 2012, he'd been producing music, designing visually, and working directly with youth through parks and recreation and elementary schools — while staying deeply connected to the games he'd always loved.
The epiphany hit when he realized picture day for young athletes was broken. Dull, rushed, and forgettable — nothing like the energy those kids brought to the field every game. He saw a void and a mission in the same moment.
Phireworx Photography was created to change that — to bring elite-level creative production, real engagement with young athletes, and a process that made coaches' lives easier, not harder. Twelve years and hundreds of Arizona programs later, that mission hasn't changed.
From music production to visual design, Rashad brings a genuine creative eye to every shoot. The dramatic lighting, the compositing, the banner graphics — it's all art, not assembly.
Years working with kids in parks and schools means Rashad knows how to connect with young athletes. Picture day isn't stressful — it's energetic, fun, and the athletes actually look forward to it.
