Booking & Scheduling

How far in advance should I book? +

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during peak sports seasons (fall and spring). That said, we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when availability allows. Fill out a booking request and we'll let you know our availability right away.

Do you travel outside of Phoenix? +

Yes — we serve programs across the entire Phoenix metro area including Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Peoria, Goodyear, Avondale, Surprise, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, Laveen, Ahwatukee, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, El Mirage, Waddell, and Maricopa. Contact us if you're outside this area and we'll let you know if we can accommodate.

What sports do you photograph? +

All of them. We've photographed basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, track, cheer, dance, pom, lacrosse, and more. If your athletes play it, we shoot it.

What happens if it rains or there's bad weather? +

We'll work with you to reschedule or switch to an indoor composite shoot. Arizona weather is generally cooperative, but we always have a backup plan. Composite shoots are a great option for programs that want to guarantee picture day happens regardless of weather.

Photo Day Process

How long does picture day take? +

It depends on the size of your program, but we work fast. A typical varsity team of 12–15 athletes takes about 45–60 minutes for individual and team shots combined. We'll give you an estimated timeline when we confirm your booking so you can plan practice schedules accordingly.

What's the difference between a natural shoot and a composite shoot? +

A natural shoot photographs athletes on your actual field or court with professional lighting. The images reflect your real playing environment.

A composite shoot photographs each athlete individually against a backdrop, then places them onto a custom digital background. This gives you more design flexibility and works great indoors — no outdoor location needed. Many programs love composites for the dramatic, pro-level look.

What should athletes wear for picture day? +

Athletes should come in their full game uniform — jersey, shorts/pants, and any gear that's part of their standard look (helmets for football, gloves, etc.). We'll send you a prep guide with specific recommendations after booking confirmation.

Can we photograph multiple teams or levels in one session? +

Absolutely. Many programs book us for Varsity, JV, and Freshman all in the same day. We schedule each team in sequence and keep things moving efficiently. Just let us know how many teams when you fill out the booking form.

Photos & Online Ordering

How long until photos are ready? +

Online galleries are typically posted within 1–2 weeks following picture day. Parents and athletes receive a notification the moment their gallery goes live. We do not release proofs ahead of the gallery launch.

How do families order photos? +

Families receive a link to their personal online gallery. They browse their photos, select what they want, and purchase directly through the gallery platform. No paper forms, no collecting cash, and no distribution headaches for coaches. Orders are delivered directly to each family.

Is there a deadline to order photos? +

Yes — galleries are available for a limited time after going live. We'll communicate the ordering deadline clearly when the gallery launches. We recommend families order promptly to avoid missing out.

What if a family misses the ordering deadline? +

Contact us at service@phireworxphoto.com and we'll do our best to accommodate late orders on a case-by-case basis. Late orders may be subject to additional fees.

Pro Banners

Do I need a photo day session to order banners? +

Not necessarily. If you're already booking a full team photo day session with us, banner orders can be added at no additional session fee. If you want banners only (without a photo day session), a minimum order of $600 is required for us to come out and photograph athletes separately.

How long do banners take to produce? +

Production time varies depending on the type and quantity of banners. We'll give you an estimated delivery timeline when we confirm your banner order. If you have a hard deadline (senior night, banquet, opening game), let us know upfront and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

Can I choose my own background design for composite banners? +

Yes. We offer a variety of custom background designs and can work with your school's colors, logos, and branding. We'll walk you through design options after you submit your banner request form.
